Home inspections make good sense whether buying, building or selling. Understanding your home's systems and components are critical when it comes to purchase, repair and maintenance decisions. A professional property inspection is an impartial third-party visual evaluation of the physical structure, electrical, plumbing, heating, air conditioning, roofing, interior and exterior. Upon completion, you will receive a formal written inspection report detailing the condition of each item inspected.

The average inspection takes two to three hours depending on the size, age, and condition of the property.

Should I be There?

We strongly urge the prospective buyer to be present for the walkthrough at the end of the inspection. By being present, you will have a far greater understanding of your new home and the report.

When Do I Receive My Report?

You will receive your professional field-generated report on site at the conclusion of the inspection before the final walkthrough.

About the Inspector

Dave Wilkins, owner inspector of San Diego Home & Mold Inspection Service, is a well qualified, professional inspector. His background includes 35 years in the construction industry, 20 years as a journeyman carpenter/mason and independent subcontractor, and 15 years as a Civil Engineering Technician and a Construction Quality Assurance Inspector for the Department of Defense. Dave has completed one of the most comprehensive home inspector training programs available through Inspection Training Associates, and is Certified in Mold Inspection and Sampling by Environmental Solutions Association, Inspection Training Associates, and is IAC2 Mold and Radon Certified with the International Association of Indoor Air Consultants.  We are also a member in good standing with the San Diego Better Business Bureau with an "A" rating and a member of the  Imperial Beach Chamber of Commerce.
